Providing direct access to your Squarespace account is pretty dangerous. Squarespace has an option to grant restricted “Domain Manager” to third parties like us so that you can stay in control and not risk losing your domain.
The process is quick and easy. If you already have a Squarespace account, it could take as little as a minute or two.
1. Create your account. #
You only have to create one if you don’t already have one, of course.
Use a strong password that you don’t use anywhere else and then save the username and password securely in a password manager.
Remember: This is your account. Giving someone else access can have dire consequences for your business. Never share the credentials with anybody you don’t completely trust!
2. Invite our user as a Domain Manager. #
Log in to your Squarespace account.
Go to the Domains management page.
Click the relevant domain.
Click Permissions in the sidebar for the domain.
Click INVITE DOMAIN MANAGER.
In the Invite Domain Manager popup, fill the form as follows:
- Set the NAME to BZ Manager.
- Set the EMAIL to manager@boundless.zone.
Click SUBMIT.
Note that we will not have billing access to your domain and will not be able to transfer it, and you can always remove our access.
3. You’re done. Now it’s our turn. #
As soon as the invitation comes through, we’ll be able to start managing your domains.
